A few years back I came upon Ryan McGinley.
I liked the nakedness and the black eyes, the raw sexuality and unshaveness of his photos. I even tried to talk a few of you into doing a naked photo shoot with me out in the desert... which wouldn't have been weird, I swear. I like many of you have noticed how cool Sigur Ros' most recent album cover is, yeah, that's Mr. McGinley. Oh, and if you watch Gossip Girl, closely, which I may or may not do on occasion, he has found his way into a permanent slot on the wall of the Van Der Woodse's penthouse, just check for yourself. Also, the man has received basically every award a young photographer can, including a solo show at the Whitney Museum at the age of 26... redic.
Anyway, Mr. McGinley is my second addition to this list and a photographer that I know we will be hearing more from in the years to come. I hope some of you enjoy this stuff, and I know most of you are photographers just like me, so I'd love to hear what you guys think of the work I'm posting and what you like or dislike about it.

I remember you showing me McGinley during a night of debauch, hunched over the laptop in Vinnie's room. I can't recall why we'd want to look at photography instead of party, but there was probably a good reason.
